Temple of The Tooth Relic

The sacred tooth relic was considered as the royal emblem in Sri Lanka. This is located in Kandy which Sinhalese use to call Maha Nuwara. This is also a world heritage site. You can see the Buddhist culture throughout the temple. The first to buid the Temple of Tooth in Kandy was King Wimaladarmasooriya. Then many kings built and added several parts but the most octagon with the moat in the front was built by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, the last king of Sri Lanka. The architect of this building was Devendra Moolachari who came from South India.
